Lots of Little Birdies
I had great fun with the Hello Love set by Stampin Up, in
particular the two little birdies the set features! I'm sure you will want to make one too so here are the steps:
Cut a white on white card (white card base with
white matt layer). For the card front make a dotted line with a ruler and a fine felt tip pen ( you could do a solid
line but it might be too ‘heavy’). Then
stamp a line of little birdies, leaving a gap off centre. Turn the card around and fill the
gap on the opposite side with another birdie. Colour the birdies bellies (you could leave them all the same
except the upside down one, but in this one I felt like some colour!) You could also add a little
diamonte to the upside down birdie or some other embellishment. Add your sentiment.
Next card is the little bird on an arrow which was stamped,
coloured and fussy cut. Once again
using a white on white card, after stamping the sun, colour its centre with a
co-ordinating marker. Stamp the
sentiments, adhere the bird on the arrow and accent with some nice blue
sequins. Although not a full card (there
is lots of white space) it still has a presence.
How about some useful mini cards – perfect for a gift or a quick note. Using the two birdie stamps again – one birdie per card on the bottom left corner colour them to match the cardstock colour base. Add a sentiment to the top right corner, but not too close to the edge. With a co-ordinating coloured marker draw the lines freehand, purposely looking a bit wavy and they look great!
Cuteness overload <3
Till next,
Annette :)
