Clear Embossing and Sponging
Another technique I saw this week was clear embossing on
white cardstock, spritzing the card with water and sponging on ink so I thought
I would give it a go.
Using an old set of 2 step stamps, I clear embossed the
flowers with the first step of the flowers and stems onto blending card, spritzed the image and proceeded to
sponge on 3 pastel shades of ink. The first
application was a little too faint, so I went over the coral and the green
again, and this time it got into the crevices on the embossed image making it
stand out far more. It did get into some
of the dimples on the clear embossing, but it still looks effective.
Once again, a quite sort of image deserved a
quiet sort of sentiment.
